Robitussin Chesty Cough Medicine is a sugar-free cough expectorant that helps your body fight chesty coughs. It works by boosting the fluid in your airways to help break down phlegm (mucus). The active ingredient guaifenesin, loosens secretions from your chest, nose and throat, lessening cough symptoms and easing breathing. Robitussin Chesty Cough Medicine is suitable for adults, the elderly and children aged 12 or over and contains guaifenesin.

Robitussin Chesty Cough Syrup is a non-drowsy, sugar-free medication that relieves chesty cough symptoms. The expectorant (guaiphenesin) helps your cough to become more productive and loosens phlegm, so you cough it up more easily.

You may experience the following side effects when taking Robitussin Chesty Cough Syrup, but this is rare:

  • Being sick.
  • Abdominal discomfort.
  • Allergic reactions like itchiness and rashes.
  • Feeling dizzy.

More severe side effects:

  • A rash on the skin.

  • Breathing problems.
  • Extreme dizziness.
