Robitussin Mucus Cough is a medicine that relieves several symptoms of a cold and flu. It provides effective mucus cough and congestion relief. It contains two active ingredients - guaifenesin and pseudoephedrine. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that helps control your cough and break down any mucus that may be lingering within the chest cavity, whilst pseudoephedrine is a decongestant that helps to relieve blockages within the sinuses. Both work together to relieve the symptoms of a chesty cough and cold/flu symptoms.
If used longer than three days, Robitussin Mucus Cough and Congestion Relief may cause rebound congestion. Other rare side effects include nausea, vomiting, allergic reactions such as a rash, itching, faster heart rate, and swelling to the face or throat.
