Panadol pain relief is a branded version of paracetamol. The key difference between panadol and paracetamol is that panadol is absorbed far more quicker, hence giving a therapeutic effect within the body at a more rapid rate. Like paracetamol, panadol can be used for a variety of conditions such as a common cold and headache to the maintenance of pain associated with arthritis and rheumatism.

As with all medications, you may experience side effects, but not everyone gets them.

Cease taking this medicine and inform a GP if you encounter any of the following Panadol Advance side effects:

  • An extreme skin rash and itching, occasionally with mouth or face swelling or shortness of breath.
  • Mouth ulcers or skin peeling or rash.
  • Unexplained bleeding or bruising.
  • Breathing difficulties.
  • Feeling sick, suddenly losing weight, not feeling hungry, and yellowing skin and eyes.

If your symptoms persist or your headache doesn't go away, speak to your GP.
