Lemsip Max All-in-One Cold & Flu Capsules combine active ingredients to treat a sore throat, headache, chesty cough, blocked nose, fever, and body aches. Phenylephrine hydrochloride is a decongestant that narrows the passages in your nose, reducing mucus. Guaifenesin is an expectorant, meaning it thins and loosens phlegm in your respiratory tract. Paracetamol (acetaminophen) is used for pain and fever relief. It's suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over and contains phenylephrine hydrochloride, paracetamol, and guaifenesin.

Common side effects may include:

Guaifenesin:

  • Sickness or gastrointestinal discomfort.
  • Being sick or having diarrhoea.
  • Headache.
  • Sleepiness or feeling dizzy.

Paracetamol (acetaminophen):

  • Very rarely, allergic reactions, like itchiness or a skin rash.
  • Extremely rarely, liver damage or blood disorders if taken excessively or in the case of an overdose.

Phenylephrine:

  • Anxiety or agitation.
  • Headache.
  • Elevated blood pressure.
  • Problems sleeping (insomnia).
  • Queasiness or being sick.
  • Throat or mouth dryness.
