When to use cooling relief strips

Kool 'n' Soothe Cooling Strips are ideal for relieving discomfort caused by:

  • Fever: High temperatures can impact a child's sleep, but if you want to soothe fever, gel sheets 'n' will cool down the skin and provide some relief.
  • Headaches: Kool 'n' Soothe Cooling Strips are also beneficial for headaches, as the cooling sensation will numb the pain and ensure your little one is more comfortable.

Please be aware that these strips won't treat the underlying cause of a fever and are only used to relieve the symptoms.

Age restrictions:

The strips are suitable for children aged one and over. Adults can also use them, but we recommend opting for adult strips to receive stronger relief.

How to use Kool 'n' Soothe cooling strip sachets

While Kool n' Soothe is easy to apply, we recommend adult supervision. Here's how to use them:

  1. Apply to Skin: Place the sticky side of the cooling strip on your child's forehead or the back of their neck.
  2. Clean Skin: Ensure that the skin is dry and clean before applying the strip.
  3. Remove Transparent Film: Peel off the transparent film on the back of your cooling strip.
  4. Remove the Strip: Remove one cooling strip from the sachet.
  5. Open the Sachet: Cut or tear open the sachet along the perforated line.
  6. Enjoy Cooling Relief: Once applied, the strip will begin to work within minutes, and the relief will last for up to eight hours.

When to avoid using Kool 'n' Soothe

If any of the following apply, please avoid using Kool 'n' Soothe and seek alternative treatments:

  • Skin irritation: Avoid applying the strips near or onto rashes, cuts, sunburns and open wounds, as it can cause irritation.
  • Sensitivity: Children with sensitive skin might experience a reaction to the strips. It's best to test a small area before applying the entire strip.
  • Main Treatments: Kool 'n' Soothe is designed to provide relief, but your child might require antibiotics if an infection causes a fever.

Precautions

Avoid direct contact with the child's mouth and nose, as it can cause suffocation risks. It's also important to never leave children unattended with an unused gel sheet - you can leave them once it's securely applied to the head.

There are no known side effects from using Kool n Soothe, but it might irritate children with sensitive skin. Some children have experienced allergic reactions, so if the skin develops a rash or excessive redness, it's essential to seek medical advice immediately.
