Jackson's Vapour Rub is a topical ointment that temporarily soothes nasal and chest congestion caused by colds and catarrh. It also alleviates stiff backs, muscular discomfort, sciatica, lower back pain, rheumatic pain and other minor aches and pains. When applied to the skin, the potent, long-lasting vapours penetrate your mouth and nose, relieving coughs for improved breathing. It's suitable for adults and children aged two and above, and contains eucalyptus oil, menthol, camphor, methyl salicylate and terpineol.

Jackson's Rub alleviates blocked noses (congestion), irritation of mucous membranes in your throat and nose (nasal catarrh), coughs and sore throat symptoms caused by colds. Eucalyptus oil relieves catarrh, while camphor calms coughs due to colds.
As with all medicines, Jackson's Vapour Rub may cause side effects, but you may not experience them. If used as per the instructions, the vapour rub will produce a warming effect on your skin. But if you notice any of the following side effects, discontinue the product and consult your GP or Pharmacy Online pharmacist:
- Flushing
- Angry, irritated, red, blistered, sore, cracked or dry skin
- Headache
- Rash on your skin, itchy red wheels (hives)
