Galpharm Blocked Nose Relief Spray is a decongestant that brings rapid relief to swollen, irritated nasal passages caused by colds, catarrh, flu, and allergies such as hay fever. It soothes inflammation in the nasal passages, unclogging them to make breathing more comfortable, and preventing mucus build-up. It's suitable for adults and children aged 12 and above, and contains the active ingredient oxymetazoline hydrochloride.

As with all medications, you may experience side effects when using Galpharm Nasal Spray, but this is rare. Should you notice any of the below, cease using Galpharm Nasal Spray:

Severe side effects (rare):

  • Itching or rash on the skin.
  • Nasal stinging, burning or sneezing.
  • Lips, nose, throat or tongue swelling
  • Breathing problems or shortness of breath.

Other side effects (less severe):

  • Dryness, pain and tingling in your mouth, throat and nose.
  • Dryness, redness or irritation in the eye.
  • Dizziness or headache.
  • Crankiness, nervousness, restlessness, insomnia, anxiety, confusion, and hallucinations.
  • Tremors, tiredness, and frailty.
  • Feeling sick (nausea), being sick (vomiting), lack of saliva in your mouth, loss of appetite.
  • Visual interruptions and flushing.
  • Erratic or fast heartbeat and palpitations.
  • Increased blood pressure and cold hands and feet.

Avoid using this spray for more than seven days, as it may lead to a condition called Rebound Congestion, which is when your nose lining feels itchy, causing a blocked nose and sneezing after spraying the final dose.
