As a well-tolerated medication, it's suitable for most children over two months old unless the infant was born before 37 weeks, weighs under 4 kg, or is using the medicine for anything other than pain or a fever.
Fennings is a mild medication with few known side effects. In rare cases, paracetamol can cause reactions in users, including:

- Shortness of breath
- Skin rashes and irritation
- Wheezing
- Unexplained tiredness
Noticing any of the following requires immediate medical attention. In extremely rare cases, paracetamol-containing products can cause liver damage.
