Difflam 3mg lemon flavour lozenges treat symptoms associated with throat and mouth ailments such as mouth ulcers and sore throats. Viruses such as the flu or common colds can lead to mouth and throat inflammation. Difflam lozenges reduce irritation in the throat, providing relief from mouth and throat pain. These lemon lozenges are suitable for adults and children aged six years and over, and contain the active ingredient benzydamine hydrochloride, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication (NSAID).

These Difflam 3mg lemon flavour lozenges are great for treating throat and mouth pain. The active ingredient, benzydamine hydrochloride, belongs to a group of medications called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). Difflam lemon lozenges help soothe swelling and redness in the mouth and throat.

Like all medications, Difflam lozenges may cause side effects. Allergic reactions are rare but can be severe. Seek medical assistance immediately if you experience:

  • Any sudden swelling in the throat or mouth.
  • Problems breathing, itching or a rash, particularly if this affects the entire body.

Rare (impacts up to 1 in 100 people):

  • Skin sensitivity to sunlight, which leads to sunburn or a rash.

Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):

  • Dry or burning sensation in your mouth. Should this occur, drink a glass of water to lessen the effect.

Extremely rare (may concern up to 1 in every 10,000 people):

  • Sudden throat, mouth or mucous membrane swelling (angioedema).
  • Problems breathing (laryngospasm).

  • Hypersensitivity (allergic reaction).
  • Local sensitivity loss of the oral mucosa (hypoaesthesia oral).

  • Lip, face, tongue and/or throat swelling
  • Raised bumps on the skin or intense itching, swelling of the face, lips, tongue and /or throat, which may be deadly.
