Covonia All In One Chesty Cough/Cold contains four ingredients to minimise your symptoms and provide pain relief. They include:
- Paracetamol - This essential painkiller provides pain relief and can help lower temperatures.
- Phenylephrine Hydrochloride - A chesty cough often means you're congested, but phenylephrine hydrochloride acts as a decongestant breaking up phlegm and mucus.
- Guaifenesin - To add to the punch that Covonia packs, guaifenesin is an expectorant which loosens phlegm.
- Cetylpyridinium chloride - Sore throats often accompany coughs, but cetylpyridinium is an antiseptic to ease tickly sore throats.
Covonia All-In-One comes in a thick green liquid with a menthol and eucalyptus scent, and you can choose from a range of bottle sizes.
As with other medicines, Covonia All In One can have some adverse effects, but they're rare. Side effects that sometimes occur include:
- Allergic reactions
- Gastrointestinal discomfort
- High blood pressure
- Nausea and vomiting
- Headaches
- Dizziness
- Blood clotting issues
In severe cases, insomnia and serious skin reactions might occur. Men are also at risk of urinary retention, although it's highly rare.

Following the dosing guidance
Covonia All In One comes with a measuring cup supplied, and it's essential to use it. Taking a little too much might result in a mild laxative effect, but if you take more than four doses in 24 hours, you could be at serious risk of an overdose.
