Coryen nasal spray contains a steroid called fluticasone furoate, which helps to reduce inflammation in the nose caused by the body's allergic response to pollen and open up the airways to make breathing easier.
When to Use Coryen Nasal Spray?
Coryen Nasal Spray is an effective treatment for allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and other allergies. The spray contains fluticasone furoate, a corticosteroid.
When using the spray, please follow the instructions carefully and administer it according to your pharmacist's or doctor's instructions.
Coryen Nasal Spray Age Restrictions
Coryen Nasal Spray is suitable for adults and children over six, in some cases. However, we cannot prescribe the medicine to anyone under 18, and recommend that you seek advice before using it on children due to the powerful corticosteroid.
How to Use Fluticasone Furoate Nasal Spray?
When using Coryen Nasal Spray to reduce allergic rhinitis symptoms, please follow these instructions carefully:
- Prepare: Shake the bottle thoroughly, turn it away from your face, and press the nozzle to release the spray. You may need to push it six times to create a fine mist.
- Clear Your Nose: Blow your nose to clear the nostrils and shake the bottle well before using it. You should then slightly tilt your head forward, as it prevents the medication from draining to your throat.
- Spray: Place your finger over one nostril and spray the other while breathing in. Then repeat in the other nostril if needed.
- Finish: Once you've administered the correct dose, use a clean tissue to wipe the nozzle and replace the cap.
Your doctor or pharmacist will recommend using the spray every day at first to reduce your symptoms, but it's essential to follow their instructions for maximum relief.
When to Avoid Using Coryen Nasal Spray?
Coryen Nasal Spray is generally safe, but it contains a powerful corticosteroid. For this reason, you should avoid using it in the following situations:
- Allergies: Please never use the spray if you're allergic or sensitive to any of the ingredients.
- Nasal Trauma: If you've recently undergone nasal surgery or are recovering from an injury, using corticosteroids can delay healing.
- Infections: Individuals with bacterial, fungal and viral infections of the nose and sinuses should avoid using Coryen, unless a doctor expressly advises otherwise.
- Young Children: Children under six should never use Coryen. If your child is over six, please seek advice from a registered pharmacist or doctor before administering it.
Coryen Nasal Spray Precautions
While the following don't necessarily rule you out from taking Coryen Nasal Spray, you should seek medical advice before doing so:
- Medications: Please inform your doctor of any medications you're currently taking, as you may experience interactions and severe side effects.
- Eye Conditions: Individuals with cataracts or glaucoma may experience worsening symptoms when using corticosteroid nasal sprays.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, please don't use the nasal spray unless your doctor says it's OK.
