It acts on a child's fever in just 15 minutes, all while being gentle on fragile tummies. It's delicate enough to use from the age of two months old through to children aged six years.

Calpol Infant Suspension is the liquid version of paracetamol for infants aged between 2 months and 6 years old. It is a medicine that has a variety of uses for young children such as temperature/fever, pain, coughs, and sore throats. The dosage stated on the manufacturer's label is dependent on the child's age.

Like all medicines, Calpol Sugar-Free Infant Suspension Strawberry oral medication may have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. These include:

  • Allergic reactions, e.g. swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, difficulty swallowing, unexplained wheezing, and shortness of breath, which may be accompanied by skin rash or hives
  • Becoming unusually tired, unexpected bruising or bleeding, getting more infections, such as colds, than usual
  • Very rare cases of serious skin reactions have been reported. Symptoms include: skin reddening, blisters, rash
